About Us

Rahat Welfare Foundation (RWF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing the socio-economic development of marginalized and vulnerable sections of society. With a special focus on combating discrimination, injustice, limited access to education, and livelihood challenges, RWF aims to empower women, children, youth, and school and college dropouts.

Originally launched in Delhi, RWF has expanded to other locations, including Agra and Aligarh, with a vision to reach all parts of India—wherever individuals face obstacles in accessing equal opportunities for growth and development. Today, RWF stands as a beacon of change, transformation, and opportunity for those striving to overcome social challenges.

How we started
RWF began by providing remedial classes for girls who had discontinued their education but soon recognized the greater need for practical skills and career-building opportunities.

The Foundation now offers specialized programs in skill development, livelihood generation, and social entrepreneurship tailored to individual talents and aspirations. These initiatives support sustainable career paths, especially for those impacted by issues such as male dominance, patriarchy, and traditional biases that hinder progress.

Humanitarian Response
Beyond these core programs, RWF is widely known for its humanitarian efforts in times of crisis. During the COVID-19 pandemic, lockdowns, and harsh winters, RWF responded swiftly to provide essential relief through its Winter Relief Program, which annually distributes blankets, ration kits, winter packs, and other necessities to support marginalized communities.

Awareness Programs
RWF also actively promotes awareness through seminars, rallies, and community drives across schools, colleges, and communities, focusing on issues such as environmental protection, traffic safety, drug abuse prevention, girl education, vaccinations, and more. Environmental initiatives, like annual plantation drives where each tree bears the sponsor’s name, encourage community participation and responsibility. These efforts reflect RWF’s comprehensive commitment to empowerment, capacity building, and a dignified future for all.
